Originally from England, Andy acquired a taste for fine food and wine while touring the major cities of Europe as a professional musician. After relocating to the United States, he fulfilled a life long ambition to become classically trained in the culinary arts especially in his chosen field of baking. Awarded with a scholarship from UCLA, he entered the university's Professional Designation in Cooking and Baking program. After graduating from UCLA, Andy honed his skills working in such prestigious Los Angeles eateries as Campanille and Citrus. It was a request from a regular customer for Andy to create and cook a menu for a private dinner party that led to his career as a private chef.
Food Savvy is a Los Angeles based company owned and operated by Food Savvy specializes in food styling, culinary production, recipe testing and development, art direction, prop styling, and consulting for television, editorials, cookbooks, menu boards, and food-product packaging. As demand for his work increased, Andy decided it was time to expand so he founded Another Bite catering, a private chef and full service catering service that had a client base centered in the Hollywood entertainment industry. Another Bite catered everything from small intimate power lunches to major special events including the Tournament of Roses Parade.
Andy's passion for food and his attention to detail led to the formation of Food Savvy Incorporated. His work has been featured on The Food Network, The History Channel, The Learning Channel, The Ellen De Generes Show, The Fine Living Network, in Woman's Day magazine, and in several best-selling cookbooks. _________________________________________________________________________________________ In 2004, Andy's extensive knowledge of food led to the Food Network offering him the position of West Coast Food Resource Consultant for Iron Chef America. Andy's association with the Food Network continued when he was asked to join the team of the the Emmy Award winning show, Everyday Italian. He was the culinary producer on the show for ten seasons.
In 2008, continuing his career with the Food Network, Andy became the senior culinary producer for the food and lifestyle show, Giada At Home.
